It gets old, but,,,,

Ya gotta stay on top of things to some extent.   Doesn’t matter what happens, its going to broadside ALL of us, the only real concession will be in how prepared you were BEFORE getting broadsided.   

like the recent hurricane thing,,, Those that were prepared are weathering ‘OK'(for the most part), those that at the last minute tried to do something (usually stoopid, like try to leave DURING the storm.) aren’t fairing so well, OR have no concerns with this reality any longer.

I try to stay on top of things, And I don’t always agree with the writers of the places I read, but that doesn’t mean I cut them off completely, (unless they are complete asshats about things, such as the blogger that shall remain un-named here in my workshop.).  Hell, sometimes they have an insight into things that I missed,,,   Like over at ClusterFuckNation,,,I posted the links to Lawdog today, and have ‘expert’ opinion to back up what Lawdog stated there, but if what James at CFN is saying is valid (I have no way of verifying other than following the links, and that may be the goose chase to end all goose chases, (and still not be TRUTH,,,, I digress).    As Lawdog states in his last post, Plausible does not mean factual.  If there is record of US military active in the area right before the pipelines went BLoooiiieesss,  well,,,  quacks like a duck, walks like a duck,,,,

and Mea Culpas all around,,,   

And like all the other shenanigans about the world, us dirt people will never learn the truth and the historians are likely to get it 85% wrong as well.   Too many little details that will be lost to the grave in time.

And that is making all this fear-mongering and hype get old FAST.   We, the dirt people of the world have little final say in how the power people play.  WE have been shown that they will twist things up for their benefit, even out-right STEAL to do so, and snub those of us that are “just wanting to be left alone”

All we can do is do our best to weather this shitstorm.  Try to keep the keel intact and underneath us, and maybe, just maybe when the storm has burned out, (it will, but it will leave wrack and ruin in its wake for decades to come) We rebuild.   

A lot of my prep over the last 14 years has been in knowledge, learning ‘the old ways’, because I fear there will come a time when the tools I am using currently (IE, Internet, Laptop, some other techy stuff) aren’t going to be possible to make. If the powers that are trying to burn the world have their way, there is a very real chance we are going back to those Dark Ages, and KNOWING how to build it back up from nothing will be ‘a thing’.

And here is a dose of good news: We aren’t going to take 300+ years to go from the enlightenment to the industrial revolution and beyond. We already have the giants underneath us, lifting us up; we just have to remember they were first, AND, keep the faith that good will prevail. We already know WHY plumbing and proper drainage of waste is important, we don’t need to rediscover those things, We have a couple of centuries of medicine to fall back on that doesn’t need to rediscovered, along with all the other “taken for granted” stuff that makes our world tick. We may lose the ability to make 7nanometer microchips, but we will KNOW its possible and the recovery of that will just be a matter of time.

WE will win, we will.

We are the ones that MAKE THINGS, where the power players only know how to take,,,,

Without us, they have NOTHING.

Without them, We will have it all.

And that’s why I don’t bitch about this crap as much anymore. WE WILL WIN, and until the shooting gallery becomes a two-way street, I will be found playing with kayaks,,,, and preparing for the winter coming on,,,
