Sounds good, kinda

but I gotta say “Un-uh!, shouldn’t happen”.

What’s the kerfuffle over?

Bill n Krew spell it out pretty good, here.

Article V: better read it, and there is always some question about it floating around, but my take is right there with brother Bill on this one; “We already have the laws and the framework, what we need is ENFORCEMENT”    What he didn’t say, but shouldn’t need to say, is that WE THE PEOPLE should be the enforcers of the rules, and stop letting the “eeleet” run roughshod over us the way they have.

Yeah, yeah, I know, we have jobs and obligations and, and, and.    I hear it often enough,,, “I don’t have time to look up all that stuff”

And believe me on this, The Eeleet COUNT ON THAT attitude to get away with what they do.   Maybe they have 15% of the electorate keeping an eye on them and raising a fuss over things (and I think that is a HIGH number, much likely closer to a low single digit in percentage.  Like 1%, maybe.)

My biggest problem with any article 5 stuff is how easily it could be commandeered and manipulated.  I have zero doubt that there are entire TEAMS of leftist indoctrinated brainwashed legal types just standing by ready to swoop in on Soros’ “GO” command, backed by BLeM/Pantifia to be the ‘brownshirts’ of yore.  And I have zero doubt that there is already a “New Constitution” all printed up, thought out and planned by the types like Schwab, Soros, Gates and Bezos.    “you will own nothing and be happy” type chicanery, all waiting for ‘that perfect moment’, like a mouse trap loaded with goodies.

Matt Bracken does a hella breakdown of what that particular event could look like.(along with some others, induced and natural occurring events that lead to dissolution of CONUS)

Now, I have thought about this, a lot, even had several in depth conversations over it, including with a lawyer, Legal aid, and some others that are more involved in politics.   Some of the preferred articles to suggest: Term limits on all aspects of the political machine, not just the elected, but the appointed types.   One of my favorites, Make SCOTUS a 5 seat house, but the judges are NOT appointed for life tenure, and don’t take seat until AFTER the Chief Executive appointing them, leaves office.  Said exec would have two alternates in the wings in case of death or inability to perform the duties as described.   There is also the Sound Money amendment, but that one should be easy just by doing away with the FEDRES (which isn’t federal nor a reserve). (always easier said than done, but that creature from Jekyll Island is over 100 year old now: what should have never been, desperately needs exorcised.)

Another point I occasionally harp on: Suffrage.   That the ‘right’ to vote is NOT secured by birth, (or even in death by the demonrats).  Nope, The right to vote has to be earned.  color of skin, age and sex have nothing to do with it, but being a property owner of a certain amount, REAL property, not paper assets, would give a voter ONE vote in any election.   If some smart 12 year old black lesbian was able to generate enough business to become said type property owner, hey, that person gets a vote!   And said ‘right’ would be null and void if said smart 12 year old lost it all in some gamble.  You have it or you don’t.   But to get that right, you have to prove you have skin in the game.  What level of ‘skin’ has always been the hang-up in the discussions around this.   Some say being a homeowner is enough, others think that you must be a business owner (I took a stand against that seeing how business has come to dominate politics so completely)_but we all agreed, that having some ‘goal post’ was better than some arbitrary age and will-he-nil-he ‘let em all vote’ approach.  Heinlein even confronts the ‘let em all vote’ by suggesting being randomly assigned some formula that needs solved.  You solve it, you get a vote, you don’t solve it, get out of the booth and go back to educating yourself.

And I won’t even touch my Grand Pulpit where I don the robes of righteous anger: Education; Not in this post anyways.

Putting all that in perspective to the opening lines, Yes, there are WAYS that the system we have CAN be improved on, but I strongly feel that allowing an Article V Convention to take place is opening Pandoras Box on some seriously crazy stuff.   It could be, and has been argued, that the orginal Constitutional Convention was sabotaged from the inside by Hamilton, who was very much a banker.   And part of me thinks that just dropping back into the Articles of Confederation that we started this country with (look at the dates, there was a gap between winning the Revolutionary War and the foundation of a Federal Government.) would do more for it, than trying to tack on more laws onto a government such as we have now (that only sees the law one way and it doesn’t apply to them.).

There may be a butchers bill forthcoming, but I think it would treble in cost if there is a CON-CON, especially if it were corrupted by outsiders like Soros and other Oligarchs.   Their fingerprints would be all over it for even the blind to see, and there are many many many, just like me, that would see that as ‘reason enough, no more’.

Thoughts please.  Am I wrong?   Or as Scott Ote said, using the states side of it will keep the lawyers out of it (I almost choked when I heard that, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt, even it I think its wishful thinking )

Follow along with an open mind

Please don’t try to convince me otherwise. That’s not the point of this post. The point is a mind experiment for you, one you need to keep an open mind for. I would like for you to read this post over at Cold Fury, follow the links even and read them.

THEN.

Ask yourself one question: “what if,,,???”

Let these things sink in, that maybe all of the last 7 months wasn’t about a virus, but about grooming a populace for the next phase.

Time will tell, one way or the other. Just don’t be surprised by the outcomes. People have been warning this that and the other for months. Someone is gonna be right, and chances are, no one is gonna like it.

Endarkenment

Still manning the watchtower though I’ve little to nothing to add of late.

But I gots ta thinking about some larger aspects of things while driving twixt here and Charleston last week.

I can’t say how many times I have read or referenced analogy of current events to the Fall of the Roman Empire. And I can’t say that the analogy is wrong, but I am starting to think its off. Just as Malthus was wrong in his day, and for much the same reason: ignoring technology and species resilience.

IMO if we are going to see an Great Endarkenment, we are already well into it. In my observations, literacy is the biggest sign of that. Not that most can’t read, but that they are showing loss of comprehension and serious lack of attention span. If it takes more than 140 characters to express an idea, you are likely to lose 95% of a potential audience. I can’t count how many times I have heard, “in twenty words or less, what’s your point?” or some generalization of such.

With loss of comprehension and attention span, the next victim is critical thinking. We already see lack of Critical thinking skills by the simple fact of so few questioning the Heglian Dialects being shoveled around this year. Even when the numbers are obviously being skewed to perpetuate a fallacy, it seems that no one wants to ‘rock the boat’ and so remain compliant and obedient.

Our forefathers must be so proud of what 200+ years have produced.

What I am seeing that does fit the Fall analogy is the population replacement that took place near the very end of the Roman empire. By the time it was a worthless shell, the population of Rome itself had almost no Roman bloodlknes left. They had outmigrated long before.

We are aeeing that happening now as people leave the outskirta of certain cities to warmer friendlier areas. Its not a diaspora, yet! Come November, I would not be surprised to see caravans leaving said cities, loaded with all manner of desperate and haunted people looking for anywhere NOT at war.

Because we are, ARE, at war. Most people are still in denial of that fact because the body count is still below 100 corpses. When that figure starts to approach 4 and 5 digits,,,,

We are at war for ideals, just like we were back in 1860-65. One side still holds values that may seem cliche and labeled as racist or whatever, but they still hold value to those people (note, I am one of them) and the other side see those same values as the ruin of humanity or some such crap. Where a person stands amongst those two sides is a simple matter of degrees, but its not hard to find the divide these days. Hell, its in your face almost 24/7 now.

I touch upon one course of future in my recent book. When I was writing it, I had no idea just how far or how rapidly we could descend to this stage. I would like to think a “Divorce ” amongst the states could be done amicably, but I am a realistic in my pessimism. A break up is inevitable. And it will be heated and bloody. If it becomes a permanent breakup with this continent housing several nations like Central Europe, or one side dominating the other and a new nation/potentially old nation taking the forefront; who flippin knows but the fickle fates and God.

But Grear Endarkenment; not so much. There may be a slow down in innovation (already there on most fronts) and there may be decades where many formerly first world countries are vying for third world status, but it won’t be the centuries of the Dark Ages. Our technology is to advanced and education to ubiquitous to allow much more than a couple decades of slowdown. The only way this world would see such dark ages again is if the madmen started launching multi-megaton nukes with great abandon, shattering any semblance of our global structure and reducing world population back to 15th century levels(or less). Recall I said our tech and species resilience are the two factors keeping the Endarkenment at bay.

I know; such a lovely topic for a Friday post. Apologies to all.

Anywhoos, some memes to fit some of the above points.

Projection or prediction.

Read this if you haven’t already (not long BMS)

A month or so ago a shady group (I say shady because the red proponents chosen were all ‘anti-Trumpers’) assembled and ran a war-game scenario around our current Selection cycle. I’m not going to link it as its been all around, but if you aren’t aware of it just search for ‘Transition Integrity Project’.

All of the points they bring up are being blamed on the red party but the Right see it very differently as being induced by the blue party.

Then we see information about Color Revolutions and how they play out and everything “Fits”.

And a question in the headlines this AM was ‘why are gun sales still on the rise?’

Short answer, IMO, the quiet ones see a damned big storm on the horizon and Mr. Colt was the true great equalizer.

We have a presidential election between a hated president (I still dont get all the hype but Ive covered it other times and places) and an obviously mentally incapacitated septigenerian. His wife has a reputation of “power hungry” that almost equals that of HRC without the list of dead. His running mate has a history as well and the whole combination is deeply embedded in politics since graduation of higher learning: never a day spent in private enterprise or free-market (cough) world.

I don’t like Trump as a person, but his lack of political history (prior to 2016) makes him a better candidate in my opinion. And while he may have some nasty past, ain’t a one of us in this world vying for angelic status.(be honest with yourself. We are all sinners in this world in some way.)

So we have one side accusing the other of trying to steal an election while making efforts to do the thing they say (projection). We have(currently legal) gun sales continuing to rise. (Of course there is no way to know about the under the table sales but I’d say that is moving in similar fashion). We have an open seat in the SCOTUS and a potential Constitutional crisis on the horizon. And the country is showing political/societal/ divides greater than those of the late 1840’s. Toss in the whole Pandemic confusion, democrat controlled cities burning with riots and protests,,,,

Hell the damned list of shit this year has brought on or exposed is too damned long. What it all boils down to is a perfect storm brewing and its all been manipulated by people in positions of power. The big question in my mind is this: who is fucking feeding this maelstrom? Things like this dont just happen. Whats the ultimate endgoal of the providers? NWO? Or Agenda 21 stuff (I know the Agenda 21 group dissolved but many of the members reformed under “The Great Reset” and much of their list resembles A21 garbage.)

Yeah yeah yeah,,, I just lost some of my readers to “conspiracy theory tinfoil hat wearer” accusations. Heres how I look at it. It IS another piece of information and true or not, the best place to hide anything is right out in the open. Mmaybe its bullshit? Maybe its a real thing but so unbelievable that 99% wil write it off as crap, if they even ever see it. Its information and sometimes (a lot lately) that information intersects and even snuggles up perfectly with current events. I don’t believe in coincidence. Once is happen stance, twice is the warning, three times is enemy action. This year I lost track of all those ‘co-wink-i-dinks’.

Storm’s a’comin’

and we have no way of knowing its intensity or duration. Those that have set the winds to blowing think they can control it to achieve a certain outcome. Its almost as if they think they are God or somesuch.

Good luck with that, Gods proven to be the jealous type and doesn’t do competition very well.

Truth for many

The following is something posted on Fakebook, but I find it hard to argue with many of its points. There is a rapidly growing dysfunction within this country and what many on one side of it seemingly fail to realize, is that the silent majority may be silent, but not without means. When the silent majority ‘wakes’, results HAPPEN, and there is no mercy nor let up until the situation is resolved. If the following ‘offends’ you, before you go off the hook, remember I did not write it, but I find truth in it. You may want to look in the mirror and ask if any of the traits condemned are a reflection of your own.************************************If you are a liberal who can’t stand Trump, and cannot possibly fathom why conservatives would ever vote for him let me finally fill you in. It’s not that we love Donald Trump so much. It’s that we can’t stand you. And we will do whatever it takes — even if that means electing a rude obnoxious unpredictable narcissist (your words not ours) to the office of President of the United States — because the only thing we find more dangerous to this nation than Donald Trump is you.How is that possible you might ask? Well, you have done everything in your power to destroy our country. From tearing down the police; to tearing down our history; to tearing down our borders. From systematically destroying our schools and brainwashing our kids into believing socialism is the answer to anything (despite being an unmitigated failure everywhere), while demonizing religion and faith, and glorifying abortion, violence, and thug culture. From calling us racists every time we expect everyone of any skin color to follow our laws equally, to telling us that our “tolerance” of lifestyles we don’t agree with isn’t nearly enough — no we must “celebrate” any lifestyle choice or gender option (forget science) you throw our direction or you think it’s fine to calls us homophobic or some other degrading slur you decide is okay to call us — ironically all while lecturing us on hate speech. While you gaslight us about 52 genders, polyamory, grown men in dresses sharing public locker rooms with little girls, and normalize the sexualization of young children, you simultaneously ridicule us for having the audacity to wish someone a “Merry Christmas” or hang a flag on the 4th of July, stand for the national anthem, or (horror of horrors) don a MAGA hat in public. So much for your “tolerance.” (See why we think you are just hypocrites??)We’re also not interested in the fact that you think you can unilaterally decide that 250 years of the right-to-bear-arms against a tyrannical or ineffective government should be abolished because you can’t get the violence in the cities you manage under control. That free-speech should be tossed out the window, and that those who disagree with your opinions are fair game for public harassment or doxing, That spoiled children with nose-rings and tats who still live off their parent’s dime should be allowed to destroy cities and peoples livelihoods without repercussions. That chaos, and lawlessness, and disrespect for authority should be the norm. This is your agenda. And you wonder why we find you more dangerous than Donald Trump?Your narrative is a constant drone of oppressor/oppressed race-baiting intended to divide the country in as many ways as you possibly can. You love to sell “victim-hood” to people of color every chance you get because it’s such an easy sell compared to actually teaching people to stand on their own two feet and take personal responsibility for their own lives and their own communities and their own futures. But you won’t do that, you will never do that because then you will lose control over people of color. They might actually, start thinking for themselves, God forbid! This is why we will vote for Donald Trump. Not because he is the most charming character on the block. Not because he is the most polite politician to have ever graced the oval office. Not because he is the most palatable choice, or because we love his moral character or because the man never lies, but because we are sick to death of you and all of the destructive crap you are doing to this once beautiful and relatively safe country. Your ineffective and completely dysfunctional liberal “leadership”(?) has literally destroyed our most beautiful cities, our public education system, and done its damnedest to rip faith out of people’s lives. However bad Donald Trump may be, and he is far from perfect, every day we look at you and feel that no matter what Donald Trump says or does there is no possible way he could be any worse for our country than you people are. We are sick to death of your destructive, ignorant, and intolerant behavior and beliefs — parading as “wokeness.” We are beyond sick of your hypocrisy and B.S. We are fed up with your disrespectful divisiveness and constant unrelenting harping and whining and complaining (while you live in the most privileged nation in the world) while making literally zero contributions of anything positive to our society. Your entire focus is on ripping things down, never ever building anything up. Think about that as there is something fundamentally very wrong in the psychology of people who choose destruction as their primary modus operandi. If Donald J Trump is reelected, don’t blame us, look in the mirror, and blame yourselves. Because you are the ones that are responsible for the rise of Donald Trump. You are the ones who have created this monster that you so despise, by your very actions. By your refusal to respect your fellow Americans and the things that are important to us. You have made fun of the “fly-over states,” the people who “cling to their guns and religion,” the middle-class factory workers and coal miners and underprivileged rural populations that you dismissively call “yahoos” and “deplorables.” You have mocked our faith and our religion. You have mocked our values and our patriotism. You have trampled our flag and insulted our veterans and treated our first responders with contempt and hatred. You have made environmentalism your religion while trashing every city you have taken responsibility for. You scream from the rooftops about “global warming” and a “green new deal” while allowing tens of thousands of homeless people to cover your streets in literal sh*t and garbage and needles and plastic waste without doing a single thing to help them or solve the environmental crisis your failed social policies are creating. But we’re supposed to put YOU in charge of the environment while gutting our entire economy to institute this plan when you can’t even clean up a single city??You complain — endlessly — yet have failed to solve a single social problem anywhere. In fact, all you have done is create more of them. We’ve had enough. We are tired of quietly sitting by and being the “silent” majority. So don’t be surprised when the day comes when we finally respond. And trust me it’s coming, sooner than you might think. And also trust me when I say it won’t be pretty. Get ready. If Donald Trump is reelected it will be because you and your “comrades” have chosen to trash the police, harass law-abiding citizens, and go on rampages destroying public property that we have all paid for and you have zero respect for. If Donald Trump is reelected it will be because we are sick of your complete and utter nonsense and destruction. How does it feel to know that half of this country finds you FAR more despicable than Donald J. Trump, the man you consider to be the anti-Christ? Let that sink in. We consider you to be more despicable, more dangerous, and more narcissistic than Donald Trump. Maybe allow yourself a few seconds of self-reflection to let that sink in. This election isn’t about Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden. This is about Donald Trump vs. YOU.So if on the morning of November 4 (or more likely December 29 by the time the Supreme Court will weigh in on the mail-in ballot fiasco we are headed towards) if Donald J. Trump is reelected? The only people you have to blame is the left-wing media drones and yourselves. You did this. Yep, you!

Ugly American

Am I ‘proud to be ignorant’?

Hmm?

I take great pains to educate myself on issues. Most of my readers know my stance on the whole Covidiocy/Coronaphobia thing since its inception in March and that my research has led down certain paths (note: all of those points are starting to show I was right from the get-go) and yet I am the one who is ignorant?

I see claims of inequality being spewed left and right and yet NO ONE ever talks about the decades of welfare, hiring regulations and billions of dollars spent on minorities to bring them ‘up’ in status.

But I’m an ignorant ugly American?

No. I am the epitome of everything that people want to deride as evil and hateful. I’m an over the hill white skinned heterosexual male.

People talk about white privilege. To be honest, I have no clue what they flipping mean by this because I have never been privileged of anything. What I have, I gained through hard effort and planning. No one ‘gave’ me anything, without a serious investment on my end first. My income is derived through my renting my life to others for short spells, not a promised benefit or attempt to “make me equal “.

My gains have been through withholding immediate gratification, knowing that the longterm will be better than the here and now.

But I’m the ugly ignorant American.

There are days where I read the headlines, scan the FB posts, see the world at large and wonder “when did I fall into this asylum of insanity?”

But I’m the ugly ignorant American.

And y’all wonder why I love my kayaks? Hell, its my temporary escape from the ugly truth of what horrid things this country is headed to. Its my ‘zone’ where ‘the deer and the antelope play’ and I can IGNORE the brash and hateful world playing out at large. Maybe in that case I am IGNORANT as I would rather walk away from this shit and let y’all do those great and terrible things to each other, WITHOUT my participation. I’ve seen death, horrible death in burned out vehicles on the highway of death in Kuwait. Y’all have NO IDEA what your ‘good intentions’ are leading to.

But I’m the ugly ignorant hateful white male American.

God help us.

The only solution

Educate the young.

Our youngsters have been educated, but the last several generations, including the one I am from, have been educated by others and the controlling interests of that education had an agenda.

We are seeing that agenda attempting a birthing now, at large in our world.

In my side bar there is a link to a series of books, and I have been putting them in the footers of my posts. Yes, if you purchase a set, I will get a small kick back, but thats not the why its there. I personally bought a set for my granbehbies, and before I delivered them, sat and read them. The message is a lot clearer than the one public schools have been spreading. It is one of freedom, individualism, and yes, that word that seems to have been so maligned of late: capitalism.

And its as simple as need be. Limited government, personal accountability, self worth, meritocracy. Not social justice, more government, and universal basic income welfare vomit.

One road is freedom. It looks hard because it has one premise that covers the path: WORK. The other looks easy because it sings a song of safety and promise of hope.

One is a road to true freedom, the other a road to slavery.

I keep saying November is a turning point. Some would say its the Overton Window, but that point was passed somewhere over the last 6 years IMO. The turning point will be whether or not Team Freedom, also known as “the sleeping giant” , can be woke up. Alot of that turning point pivots on a name, one of two. I don’t need to play crypto here, y’all know the playing field as well as I.

I see scenarios within scenarios as to out future and none of them are good. No matter what way it turns, the road ahead is going to be rough, and that rough is going to be for quite awhile. As stated here

The events of the first Trump term have shown that there is an
irreconcilable gap between those who believe in the traditional America
mythos and those who wish to replace those stories with unadulterated
Marxist-Leninism.

Those two groups cannot co-exist.

One must utterly destroy the other in order for it to survive.

The Reds have finances, organization, resources, position, and will.

The American Trads?

Be brutally honest with yourself.

Us.

Or them. (Emphasis mine)”

Not a pretty picture is it? Sounds similar to justification for genocide on a way, doesn’t it? Not the first I’ve heard that tone either, not in recent months. I’ve heard call to eradicate the white, or enslave them. They chose different wording but boil it down to bare facts and those were the goals.

Now I’m hearing terms like “the left is a mental disorder and can’t be cured; it must me excised”.

Now, as for being a mental disorder, I have a hard time arguing against. Any ideology based on emotion first and logic never is an infantile base that needs to be,,, isolated I’d agree, eradicated? Only as a last resort. Maybe if there were another planet where one side or the other could go and call the whole experiment off,,,,

Yeah, fools dream, or Elon Musks? Maybe that is his goal; whackadoodle as his ideas may be, they seem to work, and he is able to hire the number crunchers to make them work.

And maybe there is a separation of thought that irrevocable. Maybe the only solution is the final one.

I’m just one little fish in a very large ocean. Might even say that I am just one H2O molecule amongst a quintillion others,,,

I don’t stick to one source, I bounce around a lot just to feel the pulse of things. One side tries to be objective. They do this because their only aim is to be left alone to build their dreams. The other side always seems to make one assumption right out of the gate: that they can make people “better”.

I say we need to educate our young, and I mean that. I don’t want to indoctrinate my littles with “this is how it is”, I want them to be questioning, always, I want them to have a foundation so that when myself and their mom is no longer around, they can stand on their own and make the choices that improve themselves and those around them, WITHOUT lowering someone else. Fair trade, truly freemarket type benefits all parties, but we don’t, and haven’t since 1913, have a free-market.when you have to work nearly four months out of a year just to pay “Uncle Sam”, you are NOT free and the market at large is mailnipulated to get even more from you. (Think big business actually pays taxes? Think again sweetheart, they adjust the price so that YOU are the one paying that tax, not them. They just do all the paperwork and write the check that your hard earned lucre paid for.)

No, freedom isn’t easy. It can be painful, dreary, even fatal in some instances. But the alternative is drearier still, is usually poverty ridden (unless you are higher in the controlling party) and in many instances is fatal.

I choose the first path, been on it at a personal level for 12 years now. And if I have to fight others to stay on my path, well, its been some time, but the lessons I was taught are still hardwired in, and I can still hit an 8″ pie plate @500yds with Irons.

No, I dont relish the idea, but I know I don’t, and won’t, lose sleep over such a deed.

Check out the link please, Conner is doing a great thing and I am trting to help him out. It may be too late to turn this trainwreck around, but if we can teach those that will be around afterward,,,,

Value

How does business happen? Value.

You have a product, service, idea, that others VALUE, and you will make income.

Its that damned simple.

So, what’s so wrong with Capitalism? You give, you receive, and if the product or service is lacking, the life of said business will soon evolve or expire. Others offer same or better and Competition ‘improves the breed’. As long as there is competition, things will improve. Remove that, and it all stagnates and regresses or in the longer term, rot from the inside.

What I love about TRUE capitalism is how it follows rules just like evolution does. Environment determines course and growth, and yes, both can be manipulated, but in the long run, the rules will prevail.

What we are seeing now is backlash from ‘natural rules’ against years (decades?) Of manipulation. Economists call these times “corrections”, and I find that term quite fitting. Yup! It’s likely gonna be a painful ride and as long as the corrections are allowed to happen, eveything will improve in the long run. The ‘other option’ is to allow full control by outside influences but that means surrendering ALL of your choices about how you earn, receive, and use your lucre.

No thanks, that, to me, rings of slavery.

Slight lean into the turn here,,,,

I was belittled by an ‘educator’ on.my use of the term ‘Socialism ‘. He swore that we have a freely capitalist country, the freest on the planet.

Umkay!!! Sure. Sell me that bridge outside of Phoenix, the one that used to reside over the Thames in London. (Google it, I ain’t kiddin’)

I don’t think I need to go to extremes in showing examples of where he is wrong, but what we do have is, IS Socialism Lite. One third of our country (may be a bit more now) works for Government or some form of enforcement arm for G. Another quarter are on some form of welfare or Social security. Blue collar is a very small percentage with small business sharing rougly a similar rate. Large business has downsized and outsourced to maximize margins, and investors are mixed throughout all of the above. Roughly 1/3-2/5thss support the remainder; how is this NOT socialism?

Oh, maybe its their use of a dictionary published in 2019, while I use one that was first written in 1790,

And that’s another reason we will see a correction. Trying to hide the truth by manipulation of meanings has similar consequences for backlash. One will be monetary, the other in social reality.

I get it, I really do. I understand the Siren’s song of Socialism. Hell, everything is a business model, Right? What’s not to like about getting a better return of investment for mediocrity. We have an entire group of people in this country that make serious bank on it. I call them politicians.

But I digress…

I’ll give you a short example of what free market ideals can do using an analog comparison

Insurance. (And Heinlein fans already know where this one is headed, LOL)

Say ya want health insurance or Life insurance in a truly free market (no regulations and no guarantees) who do you talk to?

The Bookies. The guys that set the odds at the gaming tables, sporting events etc. That is all insurance really is, some one setting the odds, taking the anty, and taking the chance of losing. If you want a better ‘rate’ you sample several bookies and make your choice. It may cost you (think Lloyds of London costs. And guess what, that is Exactly how Lloyds operates. They’ll give you odds on your flippin VOICE and sell you a package.) But you have your ‘insurance. The disreputable ones won’t last a month and the honest ones will charge and payout as they should. As for taking them to court (have you tried that with ‘modern’ insurance agencies?) Well, in a free market world, there would be no real courts system in place, but you could hire arbitration. Both sides would cover the hire, and pledge to honor the decision no matter how it fell out. The dishonest would try to ‘settle out of court’ to keep things hush-hush. (Gee, sounds DAMNED familiar, doesn’t it?)

Provide Value, be honest, be accountable,

Things we see everyday, but oh so rarely from those on high now.

At a cusp

I’m not sure what that cusp is, and with how chaotic this year has been, what with being fed lies to encourage tyranical rule, total breakdown of societal norms, intentional breakdown of ‘rule of law’ by those sworn to protect such; even the best prognosticators are scratching their heads this year.(apologies for the all the links there, if you check only one, that first one is the one to NOT skip.)Prices are doing the upward swing, employment is still down (and I see some places are having a hella time filling the rolls, not because they haven’t the need, but because they can’t compete with what some people are getting in unemployment bennies). Heck, a friend has been posting need on FB for three weeks offering 12-1400/wk and can’t get anyone to jump. (I would if it weren’t so damned far away from me. But having a house in a down market makes moving not possible no matter how nice the pay. And I have no desire to drive 5hrs a day 5-6 days a week. Or to live in a cheap hotel through the week for it. Did that shit while working sound. I’m older now, thats a young persons scene.)Selection time coming up and I’ve said it and I am seeing more saying it: this one is going to be for all the marbles. One side wants what looks like something straight out of the original MadMax. The other wants “normalcy” returned (broad brush used in both cases. There are factions within factions here on all sides, but generally speaking,,,,)You know what I want to see? I’d like to see HONESTY. I’d like to see the media held responsible for fear mongering and downplaying truth. I’d like to see politicians held accountable for all the crap that is so obvious to us on the street, but because thier buddies are running the investigation, they get away with ‘purt much anything. I’d like to see an honest serious and unbiased investigation into all this pedophilia crap thats slowly being uncovered (and if Biden wins will be completely swept away as if nothing ever happened. Betcha!!!)But what I want is irrelevant. I’m just one little fish swimming in a tidal puddle. That tides coming back in though, and when it swallows my puddle, there are gonna be bigger hungrier fish just waiting for tidbits like me.This world is gonna get ugly for all the little fish, very soon.https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/66/b6/b1/clownfish-hiding-in-anenome.jpgJust keep prepping: if ya hadnt been, gitbuzy. An extra $10 week in canned goods ain’t gonna kill ya now and may save your butt later.Learn to keep your trap shut, about everything, especially about what you have or have not.🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐On a positive note though, I have a strong feeling that we will soon see a comeback of what some would call ‘Conservative Values’. I see so many around me getting anxious about the trepidations of Government and flat hatred of the doings of unofficial three letter groups and ilk. Its not the message, its the application, that is getting notice, and that application is what has awoken the silent majority. When said majority goes loud, well,,,Choose wisely.

Change is never permanent

He knows that changes are not permanent, but change is. Tom Sawyer by Rush.

The only true prediction is that shits gonna change. How is where things get murky.

The book I was reading (The Rational Optimist) was published in 2010. The author kept bringing up climatechangeglobalwarmingnexticeage hoopla throughout it, but towards the end showed how it didn’t really make a dent in his perspective. What struck me was how quickly thoughts have shifted from one paradigm to another in such a short span of time.

Yeah, I’m a global warming/climate change denier, and proud of it. But thats not the point here, its about how shifty ‘collective thought ‘ is. More so since the advent of the internet. Even more so since the near ubiquitous use of smartphones.

This is also in no small part due to news sources, the above items are only vehicles. It shows me that programming is even easier once you put the source closer to the person. The flip side of the programming is that having the source closer to the person also allows for them to have counter-programming available.

But not always.

One example I’ve personally seen is in a friend of mine. No net, no TV, no smartphone (oh yes, this is a real person, I’m not making this up.) Whose only news source is NPR. You can probably imagine how specific his opinions on world events are since he does not recieve any counter-viewpoints through ‘reliable sources’: my points don’t count because he knows me. Its funny how that works; he accepts as word of god, the opinions from people he has never, will never meet, over someone he sees everyday and works with and knows.

“Why would they lie?” He’ll ask. “People would call ’em out if they were lying”. To which point I say “people do call ’em iu, but you don’t hear that because you don’t see/hear/read those sources.” Its not 100%, but more information access should help a person form better opinions.

Not.

Most people don’t want to think for themselves and the newsie types and their controllers are well aware of that fact.

Another item I have heard frequently is how there is a growing concern that a majority of people have zero savings and live paycheck to paycheck. They talk about it but never offer any solutions. What burns me about is ‘the problem’, as they put it isn’t a problem, but a symptom. I was there where they are talking just a couple of months ago. Zero savings, one check away from catastrophe. The problem, as I see it, is education or lack thereof. I didn’t understand how fluid money is and the reason for that was I had been taught wrong. Those questions I had made me learn. Maybe too late in life to leverage them properly, but I am seeing improvements now. I have money set aside, and its not hurting my day to day.

That just goes to show, that even with a plethora of information available, its not the information, but questions that matter. If you arent asking the right questions, the answers don’t mean anything.

So how do you know what questions to ask? That’s the real trick. My answer is ‘just keep questioning everything!’. Don’t settle until your answers answer themselves. No one can ‘know it all’, that prospect is just way too big, but a body can know enough, if what they know answers the questions of their days. I despise specialization, but it does have its merits in many cases. The main reason I despise it is in scope: a specialist has a narrow scope on the world and there are times when a broader scope will provide solutions unable to be seen by said specialist. Points of Merit: a Doctor specializing in Cancer Research. Points of Failure: a Poitical Scientist specializing in Socialism. One of those benefits humanity, the other is a parasite.
