Had a roadtrip
Yesterday, hence, no post yesterday.
Apologies to all but the deal was far to enticing to pass on. $1800 kayak for $200. Yes, I’m kayaddict, but my regular readers all know that.
So, 300+mile round trip road trip, a new to me kayak that is just rocking my world so far, (there is a HUGE difference in quality and design as well as original asking prices) She is currently sitting in the horses as I adjust or repair outfitting, but will be on the water soon enough.
17′ of touring Sea Kayak, 63# dry, she is something of a beast, but the cockpit fits me like a glove with only having to swap the thigh braces back to proper sides (they were installed backwards and I’m wondering if thats why the cheap price. If so,,,, ROFL) new perimeter lines are needed, but not essential at this point, and the rudder needs installed, but all the parts are there.
So, thats what I was up to, and today is “scurry to get caught up” day. Just in the spheres though, work is about 1 hour known, and who knows how many fires to put out before the weekend hits. Fridays are usually such. So, I’ll spend my wee hours sucking back some Java, surfing my daily reads to get my finger back on the pulse, and get my self in order to put out the fires from lack of foresight by planners.
Its what I do.
I kayak, and I know things (groan!!!! That meme is so abused,,,)
(That vid is of the same model, no idea who the dude is. But his rolls are effortless and I can tell already, by dryland set up, that its not just his skill, but the kayak design.)
