It was a Weirdness
Was walking out of the grocery last evening and an area news rag in the box had a headline talking about another confirmed Corona case bringing the local total to six. (Local in this case is state)
Deja vu, prophetic, or I just read way to many apocolyptic trash novels as a kid, but suddenly I felt like I was smack dab in the very beginning of one of those novels. A sense of forboding swept across my soul.
Several piece’s I’ve read recently bear on the spread and timelines of this goofball virus, but the one thing I have not seen,(and it may be out there yet, I just haven’t seen it) is the mutation factor. Can this thing mutate? If it does mutate, a whole different can of worms could open up. As for current casualty WAGs, 1.6% is way low for such concern as is being spread. It definitely does not match the actions of the Italian Government this past week either.
Well, I’m not gonna harp on it too much here. Others are doing a bang-up job on that and have much better resources and expertise at it than I. I also won’t go spreading trash gossip or other panic inducing crap: there’s more than enough out there now. As for the bug itself, It’s out of my control as to who when and where: I ain’t God. The only control I have is at the personal, and if this thing gets to me, I’ll deal as I can. I’m as prepped as I can be given current circumstances, internal and external, so,,,
It was just strange enough seeing that headline and having that feeling that I had to say something.
UPDATE: That was written last night, intended for early publication. Woke up at 4 with an epiphany. “What else is going on in the world that the PTwB feel the need for smoke and mirrors?”
Iran issues? Definitely economic woes (and what better way to bury a problem than to shift its focus and blame.)? Hell, even Hollyweird couldn’t write a bad story line like we are seeing so far.
Keep questioning EVERYTHING.
