As I have stated here a time or two, and Ol’ Remus concurs, here in Appalachia, water is usually a nuisance. Its been an extremely wet summer to date and when we get rain(daily) it has nowhere to go but downhill. The ground is saturated and can’t take on anymore.This particular storm came in force with a couple of friends along as backup. It was raining so hard for 15 minutes that I couldn’t see the trees from my porch: they are only 25′ away. The gutters were flooded so heavily that it looked like a sheet of water spilling off my roof. The above video was about taken about 15-20 minutes after the fact and ol’ storms buddy was still playing around some.

The road is still intact, but I was worried. Wouldn’t be the first time it washed out.
