Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it – no matter if I have said it! – except it agree with your own reason and your own common sense.” – Siddhartha Gautama, a.k.a. the Buddha

 Latest hulabaloo thoughts

Whatever happened to rational thought?  I seem to have missed a memo or twenty about leaving my thinking on the pillow in the morning, or so it seems.  Granted, the majority of those screaming, hopping on one foot and pointing fingers in this latest iteration of the anti-gun blood dance miss one serious point.

A gun is a tool.

I can pull a trigger, or pop a detonator, or swing a sword/club/pipe/ax/rock, and take out a life/lives but there is only ONE constant in the equation:

Me.  Whether or not I slip the leash is up to me.  Ain’t pulled that ‘trigger’,

The lack of critical thinking I see on a regular basis makes me want to just step back, say nothing, and just watch it all come apart.  The Darwinian aspects of what would follow would be worthy of several thesis’ for graduates working on their masters degree. Except, most of them would likely be on the recieving end of Darwins theories.  (At least all of the ones not in STEM programs.)

Well, go ahead guys, pass whatever horseshitte ya want, my tools will stay with me.  If ya find someway of getting those, I have others, can make more and have been trained, quite well mind you, to use all available resources to maximum potential.  My best resource,  one none of these blood dancers seem to have, is the one between my ears.  Only one way you’ll be taking that,,,

It really doesn’t matter at this point. The best the Feds can do is put out a bill that grandfather’s everything leave it stuck in committee. Places like CA and NY will pass another feel good law that will make more gun owners leave the state.
Arming teachers is a joke. Most are barely competent enough to teach, let alone handle a firearm while babysitting. Sometimes I think the best thing for this country would be for the Norks to just airburst a few key cities to help out the rest of us. Don’t have much empathy for people who want to use deadly force against me because I own a few guns and don’t believe the same things they do.

    • I am seeing that ‘it doesn’t matter at this point’ a lot more of late.
Apathy is said to be the killer of nations, but I believe that its just a symptom of a larger problem: progressivism.
Thanks for the input, and thanks for reading.

First and foremost, it’s good to hear from you Dio !

This will likely resolve in only one way…

Problem is distinguishing whom is the enemy, in said war.

    Gonna be ugly.

I’m gonna just fall back on the old SERE training, with empathsis on the evade part.

There will be no winners in this fight , only survivors.

And they will be armed !

I don’t know how much longer TPTB are going to keep it all together. Time for those of you who haven’t done so to find a nice hidey-hole someplace where you can weather out the worst of it, should everything fall apart. And if it doesn’t, well at least you got a nice place to live.

      • LOL yup., that is why I am where I am doing the things I am doing. Almost have the shop built and will be functional be years end (sooner, dude sooner) not much to it, a lathe, mill, a small foundry and a whole lot of creativity. (there are other tools as well, but those three are the core) between m’self and my uncle and dad, we have a couple acres of garden, no real livestock as yet, but the means are there, just not the drive to deal with such as yet.
and I know if things get real bad, there are going to be bad actors looking for such, hence the need for me to be the weapon.

    • Yeah, I hadn’t much to say, but the recent BS ju st had me fuming and I had to vent.
I agree, I think that civil war is just around the corner and its going to make the last continental fracas look like a silly riot in Cincinnati. With the size of this country, even the events in the Balkans may look tame.
Dunno, its just percolating right now, but I have a hard time seeing any other ending while Racism is going off the rails, education is swirling the drain and our economy is a suicidal halucination.
as I said to another friend over the phone, we certainly do live in in interesting times.
