Movin’ out (or in. )

It’s all perspective.  None too soon either.  Found that the beast had developed a pretty serious leak at the foot of my bed, and while damp, no serious damage.  Would have made for a truly miserable winter though.

Here are some pics of what has been done this week, so far, but not all, (I am a little frazzled by all the stuff getting done to say least)

The biggest part towards the new move.  Still oodles more to do

You won’t know how to behave!

    • No doubt. I am rattling with all the room at this point. Not fully moved i as there is just so much more to do but I do have a real framed bed, the wood stove and a shitter so its quite livable, even with the temps dropping towards freezing range.
Like anything (and everything in my world), I’ll adjust. Hey I may even get lazy. (NOT!)

No. You won’t get lazy. We know you better than that. Enjoy. You deserve it. More than most.

Wow! A genu-wine store bought stove. Comin’ up in the world there bro. Seriously, really looking good. So what are you going to do with the various home built stoves? Shop, maybe? Looks like you need a hearth rug or something to provide a larger protected area in front of the stove. Don’t want any cinder burns on that beautiful floor. We’re forecast for 28 degrees tonight. Hope it’s not so cold for you.

    • 36 predicted. Factory made stove, but not store bought. Picked it up 4-5 years ago for $300. Been sitting in dads basement since (being used as a bench when getting honey and you can smell it when it gets hot. ). Almost glad for lack of insulation at this point. LOL. As for hearth rug, a plan is in place and being worked on. Agreed, don’t want this beautiful floor messed up.

    • And yes, the ‘lil piggy’ stove is for the shop later after it grows a larger pipe fitting for better draw

  3. A no-kidding hearth rug? Or a dog-shaped one that you have to feed? 😀

    • Later in the winter that particular hearth rug can be quite obnoxious about location. Currently he is preferring outside to in, yet we are still in mid forties at night. (Last night was an exception, or a warning, only time will tell. )

  4. Wonderful! Congratulations! Haven’t been around your blog lately, and I see I’ve missed a lot.

Yeah, the first winter moving from the RV to the cabin is a big change, extremely for the better.

    • Glad to see ya back, I have to admit you are one of my inspirations. So far the move has been very beneficial to me even with certain adjustments for comfort loss. (Lack of furniture as an example) In other areas, its much better though. Voodoo is adjusting as well but still grumbling. He has never lived in anything other than the RV. That is a big change to a small minded dog.
Hope to see you around here more
