can’t handle the heat

He ain’t worried about the heat. He’s from Tejas, so he’s used to it. He’s just taking a leak!

He looks like he’s having a good time! Felt like jumping in a waterhole myself a time or two here in Arkansas lately. We’ve had a few days near 100º with a heat index of 109º recently, not good in the mountains.
Your woodshed project has come along very well Dio! Looks good, especially getting it filled up. You were lucky as a hen-house rat finding that wood! We have an abundance of it now also since the tornado came through and knocked down half the trees on our property. (Along with the house, the barn, canning kitchen and nearly 3000 feet of fence!)
On a more positive note, one of the huge oaks that was blown over on the bank of the intermittent creek has uncovered a small spring that was apparently plugged up in the root system. I’m pretty tickled about that!
Hang with it Dio, everything will come together for us all at some point.

While it sucks to watch your entire world get torn up by Mama Nature, there is certain to be a silver lining in there somewhere. If nothing else, use the knowledge you now have and rebuild with the future in mind. Finding that spring is a good thing, use it well.

That spring is a small trickle, I’m thinking about digging into it a little more but I’ve had people tell me I could mess it up. I don’t see how, anyone else have any experience with such?
Speaking of tying up Voo, as healthy as he looks I don’t think it is a good idea to try anyway!

What little experience I have with that currently is not in tapping into it but in setting up a Spring house. Completely different animal. Sorry can’t help on that one. Maybe Wonderdawg has some insight.
And as for tying up the Voo , Had to do it in Texas on occasion and he managed to eat one cable. As well as that forlorn “Why Me?!?!?!” look and the howling,,,,
Yeah, it pretty much sucks and I hate to disturb his little doggie world too much. When it has to happen, it does, but I try to make it infrequent as hell.

Great Dio! As always! ANd Voo looks just like he did when he was in the stock tank.

pickdog doesn’t that look on his face seem to say…”yeah you wish you were as COOL as I am”?!

Actually, he has picked up a little bit around the middle. Kinda like I did when I came back here. The country cookin’ round these parts is hard to pass on, and of course, no one around here knows how to cook ‘just a little’, so the dogs end up with left overs more often than kibbles. Voo has become the “clean up guy’ for all the other dogs around here and makes his rounds twice a day to make sure he didn’t miss anything. And putting him on a diet is just out as I have no control over where he goes and refuse to tie him up.

good simple design should last for years of use
or until you heat with nuclear

WF, I just don’t know which one of us is the sickest. OK It’s YOU.
July 3, 2013 at 10:53 pm
WF is pretty feral IRL, but the dog’s seem to like him. Ok, they’re actually taste testing for TEOTWAWKI, but with his skill set he’s worth more to us alive than as Alpo. 😉

Dunno, Soffitrat, you can be pretty sick in your own way. R’member, I have met ya face to face and know what a sick sense of humor you have. (Obama Sewage Treatment Plant, indeed. Though I have to agree with the sentiment personally)
