A Petition for Calm
Been reading varied posts across the nets about gun confiscation this, Magazine ban that, “theyz cummin for R guns” those.
Calm down a minute and think about some things first and foremost.
Diane Feinstein is a dinosaur. Heck, just look at her and you get that impression. The pictures of her holding an AK with her “booger hook on the bangswitch” (HT to Tam! Love that saying) shows just how ignorant she is of what she so despises. Only, she doesn’t despise the tool, she only wants to make sure ‘the right people’ have access to that tool.
This is a sparklie IMHO. One to distract us from the real fight that is coming at us obliquely. You all know about it, but you also know that fighting it is going to be extraordinarily problematic. Obamacare.
A’ight Dio, What the F%*k does O-care have to do with Guns and Feinstein and the evil h0plophobes that want us all to be humble little serf’s scratchin the dirt for our meals?
and the precedent has already been set.
Actually on two occasions that I can recall correctly. One was quite recent. The Prepper show that was put out on History/Discovery or whatever channel that was on (like I actually watch TV to know LOL) that was declared mentally unstable and had his guns removed all because he didn’t want to heed doctors advice.
The other one happened under BushII(if I recall correctly). A guy in the New England states was arrested, had his guns confiscated and went through months of legal issues all due to his Psychiatrist wife getting nervous about his ‘mental health’. (sorry, no linkie, this kinda went the way of the memory hole. You may recall the incident I mention though. He had an indoor range in his attic?)
And one more point that has been getting media attention: returning Vets are being declared mentally impaired and losing gun rights.
Do you see the dots, and how they connect? Feinstein is the catalyst to get us to react. Our reactions will later be defined as Mental impairment or some other point that will allow them to ‘justify’ disarming us. Each of us individually, quietly, and if not so quietly, they will be able to paint that incident into a nice little closet of “See! we told you this wacko was Nutz!”
Now, am I asking you to not go out and buy a gun? Hell NO! If I had the cash on hand, I would be adding to my little collection as well. But not ‘cuz they R gonna come for our guns'; nope, just ‘cuz I want another one. (alright, maybe more than a few more but,,,,)
But let me give you a couple of quick pointers here. If you are at the Doc’s and they ask you if you own guns, tell ‘em you did, but sold them all off when you thought that the tools would be outlawed. Play the submissive serf while all the while being the grey man. NOW, if a cop asks you this, remember lying to a LEO is just as much a crime as killing him. SO, what do you do?
That boating accident was horrible, all those guns and fishing tackle sinking to the bottom like that.
Hey, I sold that thing two years ago! *while you show him a receipt that the local crack head signed for $5*
Well, you get the gist. Get creative, cover your ass, or the ultimate answer is to:
SHUT YOUR TRAP!
(I am seeing a common thread of that line lately)
But please, please, please, CALM DOWN. Panic causes people to screw up and make mistakes. If you find yourself panicking, sit back, deep breaths, think about what is causing it, and look a little deeper to see if it’s justified. Chances are, if you are panicking because of media hype, it is an intended response by that media. Don’t play into it.
Ok, I am off my soapbox now, gotta get back into the shop.
